A front is currently pushing into the panhandle bringing heavy rainfall and elevated E/W channel wind speeds near 20kts and gusts near 30kts near Five Finger Light house and around 15kts with gusts to 25kts at Point Arden. Between the two and closer to Grand Island and Taku Harbor, expecting winds will be slightly lighter given a bit more protection from the E/W winds, around 10 kt with gusts to 20 kts with a slight northerly direction out of Taku Inlet. Moving through the afternoon, moderate to heavy rainfall will continue, however winds and waves will be on the downward trend for a brief lull through Thursday evening as this first front pushes inland. Conditions will deteriorate again after 3am Thursday morning as a stronger front pushes into the panhandle with strong winds up to 35 kts expected with Stephens Passage. .REST OF TODAY...
