A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE COASTAL AREAS OF
SIGATOKA, RAKIRAKI AND UDU POINT, YASAWA, KADAVU AND NEARBY SMALLER
ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUPS, SOUTHERN BUA, CAKAUDROVE, CIKOBIA,
TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS.

Situation: A weak trough of low pressure gradually drifts eastwards
away from the country. Associated cloud and showers are expected to
affect parts of the group till later today. Meanwhile, a strong east
to southeasterly wind flow continues to prevail over Fiji.
Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Expect strong east to southeasterly winds with wind speeds up to
45km/hr over coastal areas of Sigatoka, Rakiraki and Udu Point,
Yasawa, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups,
southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Cikobia, Taveuni and nearby smaller
islands.
Elsewhere, moderate to fresh southeasterly winds, gusty at times.
Rough seas.

Cloudy periods with some showers over Sigatoka-Coral Coast,
Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, southern Bua, Cakaudrove,
Cikobia, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti
groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
Partly cloudy with brief showers elsewhere.
Cool at night.
