FNUS64 KTSA 160338 RFDTSA OKZ049-053-376-170000- Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Tulsa OK 1038 PM CDT Thu Oct 15 2026 ...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER DANGER FRIDAY over parts of far southeast Oklahoma... Elevated fire weather conditions will develop Friday afternoon across parts of far southeast Oklahoma due to the combination of gusty north winds, low humidity and favorably dry fuels. North winds of 15 to 25 miles an hour, with gusts of 25 to 35 miles an hour, are expected Friday afternoon behind a cold front. Dry air overspreading the region behind the front will cause humidity values to drop into the 30 to 40 percent range. In addition, portions of far southeast Oklahoma did not receive much if any rainfall over the past few days. The favorably dry fuels, gusty winds and low humidity will lead to heightened fire weather concerns for both grassland and timber fuels. $$
