A strong cold front will move begin to move into northeast Oklahoma Thursday afternoon and continue to push southward Thursday night. Much colder and drier conditions will move in behind the front, and a substantial increase in northerly winds can be expected. The gusty winds will last through the day Friday before diminishing Friday night. In areas that see little rainfall, namely parts of far southeast Oklahoma, the strong winds and lower dew points will support at least limited fire weather concerns Friday afternoon.
