ONSET...Early Afternoon. DISCUSSION... Heat index values will climb into the 105 to 110 degree range across much of eastern Oklahoma and west central Arkansas this afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms may develop across parts of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this afternoon, but most places will remain dry. More numerous and stronger storms are expected to develop by late this evening and overnight, mainly across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.
