This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM.
	RISK...Limited.
	AREA...Mainly Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
	ONSET...Late Evening.

DANGEROUS HEAT.
	RISK...Elevated.
	AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and West Central Arkansas.
	ONSET...Early Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Heat index values will climb into the 105 to 110 degree range  
across much of eastern Oklahoma and west central Arkansas this
afternoon.

Isolated thunderstorms may develop across parts of northeast
Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this afternoon, but most places
will remain dry. More numerous and stronger storms are expected to
develop by late this evening and overnight, mainly across
northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. A few of these storms 
may become severe, with damaging winds the main threat and large 
hail a secondary threat.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Dangerous heat will continue for much of the upcoming week, with
afternoon heat index values in the 100 to 110 degree range each 
day. Periodic thunderstorm chances will also occur, but most
places will remain dry.
