Isolated showers and storms will continue through this afternoon or evening before weakening. Most storms will be non-severe, but a few marginally severe storms could develop, mainly for hail. Windy conditions will also be present through the area into the overnight hours. A cold front will arrive overnight bringing another round of storms to the area. A few of the storms could produce strong damaging wind, with a lesser tornado and hail threat. Behind the cold front, temperatures will quickly fall. Much cooler air will continue to move in throughout the day behind the front. A few additional showers and possibly a thunderstorm will develop north of I-40 late Tuesday into Wednesday. Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are possible across the southeast half of the area Wednesday, and then areawide Friday into the weekend.
