The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  South central Box Elder County in northern Utah...
  Northeastern Tooele County in northern Utah...

* Until 630 PM MDT.

* At 544 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 7 miles southeast of Utah Test and Training Range
  North to 6 miles northeast of Clive, moving northeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Delle, Utah Test and Training Range North, Great Salt Lake South of
  the Causeway, Hat Island, and Lakeside.

This includes Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 51 and 70.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on or near the Great Salt Lake, get away from the water and move 
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 
15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you 
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter 
now!  Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
