Elevated fire weather conditions with near critical conditions in locations with abundant dry fuels where topography and wind direction are well aligned through Saturday. Northeast to east Santa Ana winds will continue through Saturday. Winds out of the east will mainly be 35 to 55 mph, locally to 60 mph below passes and near mountain foothills. Lowest daytime relative humidity for the valleys and inland coastal areas will be around 20 to 30 percent Saturday. Much weaker offshore winds expected Sunday, with the pressure gradient returning to onshore by Monday. There will be a slight chance of a shower or two developing over the mountains and adjacent deserts in San Diego County early Saturday, although there is very little chance of wetting rain. Hot temperatures will continue through Saturday, with warmest conditions along the coast. Cooling will begin for the coastal basin on Sunday with greater cooling region-wide Tuesday onward. Widespread rain expected for next Wednesday and Thursday.
