...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT GREENUP AND CARTER COUNTIES
THROUGH 415 PM EDT...

At 343 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Rome to Freestone.
Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Portsmouth, Grayson, Olive Hill, Grayson Lake State Park, Carter
Caves State Park, New Boston, Greenup, South Shore, Gesling, Greenbo
Lake, Oldtown, Load, Letitia, Franklin Furnace, Carter, Brushart,
Sciotoville, Hitchins, Warnock, and Soldier.

This includes Interstate 64 in Kentucky between mile markers 149 and
174.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
southeastern Ohio.
