Critical fire weather conditions are not expected through the next seven days. A cooler and moister pattern sits over the region for today and tomorrow, with off and on chances for showers and weak thunderstorms. Best chances for wetting rains look to come through late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, mainly for areas along and east of the Continental Divide, and along and west of I-25. Severe thunderstorms will be possible on Thursday, especially over our eastern plains. We warm up for Friday into the weekend, but keep chances for at least isolated showers and thunderstorms over and near the higher terrain for most afternoons. Afternoon smoke dispersions will be poor to fair for the Pikes Peak region and the eastern mountains today, with good for the rest of the plains, and very good to excellent west of the Continental Divide.
