...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN NEW LONDON...NORTHERN
MIDDLESEX AND NORTH CENTRAL NEW HAVEN COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM EDT...

At 613 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Hebron, or near Colchester, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible along with lightning strikes.

Locations impacted include...
Jewett City, Meriden, Middletown, Wallingford, Norwich, Colchester,
East Hampton, Durham, Salem, Cheshire, Cromwell, Griswold, Portland,
East Haddam, and Haddam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
