Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 29.6 inch low over Lower Michigan lifts to southern Ontario at 29.5 inches Friday morning. In its wake, a 30.8 inch high lifting off of the Central Rockies tonight weakens to 30.6 inches on Friday as it moves east over the Plains. As it does so, the aforementioned low deepens to 29.4 inches and heads towards the Mouth of the St. Lawrence River. The high then slides south of the Great Lakes at 30.5 inches by Saturday night as a 29.2 inch Alberta Clipper moves through the Canadian Prairies towards Hudson Bay, deepening to 29.0 inches by the time it arrives on Sunday. This low is projected to bring troughing of 29.9 inches over Lake Superior on Sunday. As the low moves east over Hudson Bay and weakens with time Sunday night into Monday, expect high pressure ridging of 30.3 inches to return to the Upper Great Lakes by late Monday. The high pressure ridging strengthens to 30.4 inches over Lake Superior by Tuesday as the high pressure center at 30.5 inches over northern Ontario lifts towards James Bay.
