A strong cold front will bring more widespread showers and strong thunderstorms to the area today into Thursday. Behind this front, high temperatures drop by 25 to 30 degrees with continued rain chances into the upcoming holiday weekend as the front stalls nearby. Minimum relative humidity values will fall into the 30 to 50 percent range outside the mountains this afternoon. WInds will remain out of the south and southwest a 5-15 mph gusting up to 20 mph at times. Expect recoveries back toward 90 to 100 percent Thursday morning with north to northwest winds at 5 to 15 mph gusting up to 20 mph at times.
