Highs will range from around 102 across the far southwestern Texas Panhandle up to 113 for the far southeastern Texas Panhandle and norther portions of the Rolling Plains. Winds will start out from the southwest in the morning, however are expected to shift to the south by early afternoon. Through the afternoon hours, winds are expected to pick up to 15 to 20 mph and will vary between southwest to south. RH values will drop as low as 15 percent during the afternoon hours. With low RH values and breezy winds during the afternoon, elevated fire conditions are expected across the entire forecast area. A Rangeland Fire Danger Statement has been issued from noon until 8 PM for the far southern Texas Panhandle, the South Plains and the Rolling Plains. Can expect similar conditions for Monday.
