A Heat Advisory is in effect this afternoon for the far southeastern Texas Panhandle, Rolling Plains, and southeastern portions of the South Plains. Scattered thunderstorms are expected across the region this afternoon through this evening, especially to the east of the I-27 corridor. The strongest storms could produce wind gusts up to 70 mph and brief downpours. Lightning may also result in wildfire ignitions. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
