Fire weather concerns remain low over the next several days across western and central Nebraska. Temperatures favor below normal values through the end of the work week and this will result in daily humidity minimums remaining above 35 percent. After a dry day Tuesday, precipitation chances increase for Wednesday through Friday. Rainfall amounts will favor areas south of I-80 where model blend highlights 80%+ probabilities for exceeding a quarter of an inch of rain through Saturday morning. Increasing the threshold to one inch or greater highlights nearly 50% for the same area through the same timeframe. Warmer temperatures return by the end of the weekend with afternoon highs in the 70s and 80s for Saturday and Sunday respectively. Some potential exists for a return of lower 90s by early next work week but confidence in this remains limited.
