...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT
FOR NORTHERN HART AND WEST CENTRAL ANDERSON COUNTIES...

At 600 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles northeast
of Hartwell, or near Lake Hartwell, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Hartwell, Homeland Park, Reed Creek, Anderson Airport, Lake Hartwell,
Townville, Sandy Springs, Sadlers Creek State Park, Anderson, and
Northlake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on or near Lake Hartwell, get away from the water and move 
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 
15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you 
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter 
now!  Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
