Rangeland Fire Danger Statement
National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD
208 PM CDT Thu Oct 15 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Cooler temperatures and light rain continues to taper off this
afternoon. Winds will increase this afternoon and evening, with
widespread gusts of 30-40 mph that continue into Friday afternoon.
Despite the winds, Fire Danger remains low due to the wet
conditions.

Conditions dry out and temperatures warm beginning this weekend
and continue into next week. Winds remain mostly light and so fire
concerns should remain low.
