Water flowing over roadways will create slick roads and muddy unpaved roads. Ponding of water on highways and in urban areas will create hazardous travel conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 122 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms over Prescott Valley. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Chaparral Gulch, Coyote Wash, Lynx Creek, Agua Fria River, Winters Wash and Granite Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Prescott Valley and Dewey-Humboldt. - This includes the following highways... State Route 69 between mile markers 279 and 292. State Route 89A between mile markers 322 and 325.
