A drier airmass will remain in place during the day today. RH values will drop into the 30 to 40 percent, with the potential for values as low as 25 percent in the southern Red River Valley where temperatures have the best chance to reach the lower 80s. Winds will begin to increase from the southeast during the day today in ND (10- 15 mph) with much lighter and potentially variable winds in much of northwest MN through this afternoon before shifting to the southeast this evening as well. There is a low chance for showers in northeast ND later tonight, with increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms Monday into Monday night. There is chance for totals 0.5"+ mainly where thunderstorm activity ultimately tracks. A few strong to severe thunderstorms may develop Monday afternoon and evening.
