Gusty northerly winds of 20-30 mph and gusts of 40-50 mph in combination with minimum RH values in the 25-35% range will result in near-critical fire weather conditions along and east of the I-35 Corridor today. RH values should spike back up after sunset rather quickly and the threat will lessen. Breezy northerly winds continue on Saturday, but should be lowered enough to prevent higher fire weather concerns despite minimum RH values in the 25-35% range again over the eastern half of South Central Texas. Winds should lighten considerably by late Saturday and fire weather concerns should decrease. Rain-free weather is expected with increasingly warmer temperatures through the middle to end of the upcoming week.
