One final day of warm and humid conditions with minimum humidity levels between 35 to 55% range. Wetting rain chances develop over the Southern Edwards Plateau late today into tonight in advance of a cold front, where the rain will be heavy at times. Elsewhere rain chances generally hold off until the arrival and passage of the front between midnight and 6 AM Friday. This activity is to remain scattered and lighter than the activity expected over the Southern Edwards Plateau. Strong northerly winds develop behind the front, which will usher in much cooler and drier air into the region Friday into the weekend. The threat for fire weather will increase with at least elevated to near critical fire weather concerns for Friday afternoon, and into Saturday afternoon. The minimum humidity levels fall into the 25 to 35 percent range even with the cooler air temperatures both days. A Rangeland Fire Danger Statement is in effect for the I-35 Corridor and Coastal Plains Friday afternoon through the evening hours. Friday afternoon is the more concerning day as a result of the continued strong north winds while Saturday still remains a bit on the breezy side, the speeds look to gradually subside through the afternoon. A warming trend then commences into the beginning of early next week with increasing humidity each day.
