A storm system is forecast to pass to our north and east Tuesday night through Wednesday night with 20 to 30 percent chances of showers and storms. Models show a slight increase in moisture ahead of this storm system. Currently the higher chances of precipitation are across northwest Illinois. Rainfall amounts will be light with generally less than a tenth of an inch expected. High temperatures on Wednesday will be slightly warmer into the lower to mid 80s. After Wednesday night, models show another shortwave topping the western U.S. ridge and flattening the flow aloft to more zonal. MVFR visibilities are possibly in patchy fog this morning after 08 UTC at KCID and KBRL with lower confidence that it will occur at KMLI so it was left out of that TAF sites for now.
