FNUS73 KDLH 191034 FWSDLH Spot Forecast for Stewart Trail Fire...MNICS National Weather Service Duluth MN 534 AM CDT Tue May 19 2026 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 0600 CDT on May 19. If there are questions or concerns with this forecast, or if conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service in Duluth at 218-729-0653. .DISCUSSION... Cooler air is moving into the area, which will keep temperatures cooler and RH higher despite little chances for rain. The cold air coming in will cause light rain showers this afternoon, but that will be counteracted by dry air at the surface. As a result, very little rain will make it to the ground. Only sprinkles to a trace of rain is expected. Winds will increase this morning, and gusts up to 20 mph are expected by this afternoon. The inversion currently in place will start to break down around noon and mixing will become more efficient. Frost is expected tonight with near freezing temperatures. Wednesday, dry conditions return, with minimum RH 30-40% depending on proximity to Lake Superior. .TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (80-90 percent). Patchy fog early in the morning.
