Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through the area this afternoon and evening, persisting into the early morning hours near the Dakotas border. Some storms may be capable of gusty winds (40-50 mph), small hail and heavy rainfall. A break down of the upper level ridge occurs Sunday as a cold front moves through the area during the late afternoon and evening bringing breezy westerly winds, strongest for western districts, though humidity looks to remain above 20 percent for most areas. Showers/thunderstorms will accompany the front as well, and could produce strong wind gusts, hail and brief heavy rain.
