- Unseasonably hot and rain-free conditions are expected to 
  continue through this next week.

- Moderate (level 2 of 4) to Major (level 3 of 4) Heat Risk could
  increase to areas of Extreme (level 4 of 4) Heat Risk 
  throughout the upcoming week.

- A combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity, and hot
  temperatures could lead to elevated fire danger risks over the
  next week.

Strong upper-level ridging over West Texas and the Desert Southwest 
is expected to remain dominant over the next week, keeping 
conditions hot and dry over Deep South Texas.  Temperatures are 
expected to be unseasonably hot, with high temperatures reaching the 
triple digits each day.  Heat Risk will be a concern too, with 
Moderate (level 2 of 4) and Major (level 3 of 4) Heat Risk possibly 
increasing to Extreme (level 4 of 4) by the weekend.  Heat indices 
are generally expected to be between 105 to 110, though some areas 
could briefly see higher values exceeding 111 throughout the week.

Hot temperatures, dry fuels, and low relative humidities over the 
next few days will also enhance the potential for fire weather, 
particularly through the early and middle parts of this week.  This 
could lead to rapid wildfire spread. &&
