There are no critical fire weather concerns this week. This afternoon portions of the southwest minimum relative humidity has dropped down around 25 percent but the wind remains light and variable. Tomorrow, minimum relative humidity around 25 percent and is expected across the southwest with winds up to 15 mph by the late afternoon. This will be a very short window of windy and dry conditions. Winds across the central and eastern half of the state could reach around 20-30 mph by the afternoon. However, the minimum relative humidity across the eastern and central portions of the state are around 30 to 40 percent. Again the window of overlap for the driest conditions and the windiest conditions is short only a few hours in the late afternoon. After that the pattern switches to a more active pattern with precipitation daily until the weekend. Thunderstorms are possible into the weekend, thunderstorms can cause gusty erratic winds. This will cause the relative humidity to increase and fuels to green up even more. By the weekend into early next week another pattern shift is forecast to bring warm and dry weather.
