...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN ALPENA AND SOUTHEASTERN
PRESQUE ISLE COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM EDT...

At 339 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Long Rapids, or near Lachine, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Alpena, Presque Isle Light, Lachine, Presque Isle, Long Rapids,
Posen, Thompsons Harbor State Park, Cathro, and Lakewood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
northern Michigan.
