The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Chesapeake Bay from Smith Point to Windmill Point VA...

* Until 1215 AM EDT.

* At 1053 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from Northern Neck
  Reef to Onancock Inlet, moving northeast at 20 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Smith Point, Onancock Inlet, Lower Bernard Island, Nandua
  Pungoteague Reef, Watts Island, San Marcos Wreck, Tangier Island,
  Northern Neck Reef, Anglers Reef, and Crisfield.
