...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN JEFFERSON...SHAWNEE...EASTERN WABAUNSEE AND NORTHERN
OSAGE COUNTIES...

At 808 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles north of Dover to Harveyville to 5 miles east
of Admire, moving northeast at 65 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported a 65 mph wind gust near 
         Maple Hill.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile 
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Topeka, Rossville, Eskridge, Tecumseh, Richland, Dover, Silver Lake,
Auburn, Meriden, Maple Hill, Willard, Pauline, Grantville, Keene, and
Berryton.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 between mile markers 338 and 355.
 Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 161 and 188.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for northeastern
and east central Kansas.

building.
