In southeast Kansas, Allen, Elk, Greenwood, Wilson and Woodson. * WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1144 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Rainfall rates of over 1 inch per hour have been observed. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Iola, Eureka, Humboldt, Yates Center, Madison, La Harpe, Gas, Moran, Toronto, Hamilton, Severy, Neosho Falls, Latham, Climax, Virgil, Coyville, Mildred, Bassett, Cross Timbers State Park and Toronto Lake.
