The areas affected include...

  Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet 0-20 nm...

  Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet 20-60 nm...



At 1153 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm,

capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This thunderstorm was

located 11 nm east of Nettles Island, or 11 nm east of Saint Lucie

Nuclear Power Plant, moving west at 20 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes.

At 1052 AM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from 7 nm southeast of Elgin to 6 nm south of Midway

Airport to 20 nm southwest of Gary, moving northeast at 50 knots.



HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

         suddenly higher waves.
