A cluster of showers and thunderstorms moved east across western

Kansas overnight, but activity remained below severe levels.

Elsewhere, quiet weather prevailed, with overnight temperatures in

the 60s and 70s.



Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible today

across portions of central and eastern Kansas, but severe weather

is unlikely. Forecast high temperatures range from 70s over

northeast Kansas, to near 100 degrees over southwest Kansas.



Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop later

tonight over generally the eastern one-third of Kansas. A handful

of strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, along with locally

heavy rainfall. Forecast low temperatures are mostly in the 60s.
