Through 8 am, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms 

throughout the Florida Keys coastal waters, will continue to wax and 

wane as they move to the west northwest at near 20 knots. 

Occasionally, a few of these showers may move across the Island 

Chain, especially the Lower Keys. Mariners encountering this activity

can expect brief reductions in visibility due to heavy downpours, 

wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, and occasional lightning strikes. On 

land, additional rainfall amounts of a few hundredths to few tenths 

of an inch are possible.
