  Peconic and Gardiners Bays...



At 1008 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of

producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located near

Great Peconic Bay, moving northeast at 20 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher 

waves, and potential lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe 

harbor immediately until this storm passes.

A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...



  Moriches Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 60 NM...



At 1048 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of rainfall will 

potential embedded strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds 

to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line 

extending from 9 nm southeast of Shelter Island Sound to 16 nm 

southwest of Buoy 44017, moving east at 20 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher 

waves, and potential lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe 

harbor immediately until these storms pass.
