CRITICAL WEATHER DAY STATUS...

Critical Weather Day is in effect through 12Z Tuesday, May 19th

in support of Severe Weather ops from the southern/central Plains

into the Upper Midwest and Fire Weather ops across portions of

the Southwest and Southern Plains. Otherwise, CWD is not

expected.

MDS STATUS...

GOES-E MDS Sector 1 will be centered over 32.3N/96.6W and Sector

2 will be centered over 36.5N/85.6W from 1200Z to 20/1200Z in

support of severe wx ops from parts of the southern Plains into

the Mid Mississippi Valley and Lower Great Lakes.



GOES-W MDS Sector 1 will be centered over 34.6N/106W from 1200Z

to 20/1200Z in support of elevated fire weather conditions across

parts of the Southwest and southern High Plains.
